الشيخ عبد الباسط بن محمد بن عبد الصمد بن سليم (1927 - 1988)، قارئ القرآن المعروف. افضل المقرئين علي الاطلاق..من اصحاب المدارس التي تفردت في اسلوبها.وصاحب النصيب الاكبر من الشعبيه والحب لدي جموع المسلمين علي مستوي العالم.فهو صوت السماء او الصوت الملائكي صاحب الصوت الاخاد الذي تملك قلوب الجميع. ولد سنة 1927 بقرية المراعزة من عائله عريقة ـ أرمنت ـ قنا بجنوبى صعيد مصر. حفظ القرآن الكريم على يد الشيخ محمد الأمير شيخ كتاب قريته. أخذ القراءات على يد الشيخ المتقن محمد سليم حمادة. دخل الإذاعة المصرية سنة 1951، وكانت أول تلاواته من سورة فاطر. عين قارئاً لمسجد الإمام الشافعى سنة 1952، ثم لمسجد الإمام الحسين سنة 1985 خلفاً للشيخ / محمود على البنا. ترك للإذاعة ثروة من التسجيلات إلى جانب المصحفين المرتل والمجود. جاب بلاد العالم سفيراً لكتاب الله، وكان أول نقيب لقراء مصر سنة 1984، وتوفي في 30 نوفمبر1988
